Bon Voyage Health Team to North Africa!

egypt pyramidsThis Sunday, August 30th, our Health co-leaders, Ila Swick and Amgad Wahba, will depart for North Africa. We are eager to continue working with AWEMA, one of our ministry partners in the region, as together we lead a training in Women’s Cycle of Life for women leaders serving throughout North Africa with refugees, churches, and the next generation of women leaders!

This training is designed to equip them to train others and to improve the lives of the women they serve through basic health principles and biblical marriage lessons. Our team will also include our Women in the Window Inductive Bible study, which is a distinctive of every training we lead. Together, they will study Lydia, who changed all the world with her courage, and determine how they can apply timeless truths from her life to theirs and to the women they serve.

Please remember Ila, Amgad, and this training in your prayers!
• Pray for safe, uneventful travel and good health for our team and the North African women, especially in light of the tropical storm brewing in the Atlantic.
• Pray that His peace, which passes all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, and that the joy of the Lord will be their strength.
• Pray that, despite cultural and language differences, they will come together as one and be united by the love of Christ. Pray for a spirit of unity and peace as they address harmful practices against women that are embraced by their cultures but are ruthlessly opposed to God’s value and worth of women.
• Pray that this training will equip, encourage, and strengthen the women leaders to carry on in their ministries throughout North Africa, especially as they minister to women in the region who are pushed beyond their personal limits due to current political crises and conflicts.

Thank you so much for your essential prayer support, and we will share current updates and photos from the field after they arrive!

His and yours,
Kim
