Full of Joy over You

libya-womanYou and your prayers mean so much to the ministry team of Women in the Window International!  On the first Friday of the month, we gather to pray for the women we serve in the 10/40 Window, and your prayers join with ours.  Each day is a gift from God, but some days, weeks, and months hold special significance.  This month holds extreme significance as we focus on Ramadan, noting both the influence and impact of Islam increasing all around the world, including here in our own nation.

Saturday, June 28 marked the first day of Ramadan for Muslims.  In observance of Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, Muslims worldwide began 30 days of fasting and prayer.  There are approximately 1.6 billion Muslims around the world, and Islam itself was birthed in the 10/40 Window.  Please pray with us during Ramadan that these seekers will come to know their Creator God and the Giver of life, hope, and peace – Jesus.  And to follow our daily Ramadan prayer posts, please visit our Facebook page or blog.

Tom Doyle wrote a fascinating book titled Dreams and Visions: Is Jesus Awakening the Muslim World?  The book shares various accounts of Muslim women and men coming to faith in Christ.  One Egyptian woman, Noor, describes a vivid dream she had about Jesus:

“Jesus walked with me alongside a lake, and He told me how much He loves me.  I think my husband loved me at one time.  But that love I felt in my dream – His love – was different than anything I’ve experienced.  I didn’t want to leave.  I didn’t want Him to leave.  I asked this Jesus, ‘Why are you visiting me, a poor Muslim mother of eight children?’  And all He said was, ‘I love you, Noor.  I have given everything for you.  I died for you.’

Why would a prophet say that He died for me?  I have believed in Him, and we Muslims respect Him.  But He is much more than I thought He was.  I have never been loved like I was when Jesus walked with me in that dream.  I felt no fear.  For the first time in my life, I felt no shame.  Even though He’s a man, I wasn’t intimidated.  I didn’t feel threatened.  I felt perfect peace.”

Please pray fervently with us that Muslims just like Noor, who might revere Jesus as just a prophet, will encounter Him for who He truly is – the Son of God and the Savior of the world.  And pray that this truth will massively transform the lives and desperate situations women face in the 10/40 Window as hearts and nations encounter the One who is the only Way, the absolute Truth, and Eternal Life.

In Christ’s service,
Kim

Praise Report
Our very first Board meeting and Servant Leader retreat was held in June, and God visited us in a wonderful, powerful way. Women in the Window International is off and running with His strategy in our minds and His dreams in our hearts!

Prayer Requests
We have been invited to serve women leaders in several North African nations. Please pray with us for God’s clear direction for all trainings, for laborers to help complete the work He has begun, and for all resources to be abundantly provided!

Please continue to pray for wisdom in our endeavors so that all we do brings glory to His name and the obedience of faith to women in the 10/40 Window.

Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.
Romans 16:19
