Hoping for Good, but Finding Terror

Benin_terrorWe hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there was only terror.
Jeremiah 8:15

No good has come. There was, and is, often only terror in the lives of many in our world today, especially the lives of women. How did all of this happen and where do we go from here? Women in the Window seeks to respond to the terror and lack of peace, bringing the peace of God into the hearts and homes of women in the 10/40 Window. By training leaders within the Christian community, even the underground community, we are able to replace their poverty with dignity and purpose in Christ.

And many women in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East have only known shame and disgrace, even as little girls. So, receiving the dignity and sense of purpose that Christ offers is more than they ever dreamt possible. They respond by becoming distributors of dignity and transformational change agents in their own communities.

Please pray for upcoming WiW trainings and our ongoing ministry partnerships with women leaders, with a focus on these pressing needs:

  • West Africa training in Benin this September, where Voodoo worship originated. Please pray for the spiritual and economic development of women, and that these false belief systems will be replaced with the love, truth, and saving power of the Gospel.
  • Open doors to speak with men, women, and students right here in the United States so that we can continue to educate our own communities on the plight of women and the potential that they have to bring light, hope, and healing to their own families, communities, and nations.
  • Throughout the Middle East and North Africa women face daily challenges of war, persecution, rape, and kidnapping as they are forced from their homes with little hope of return. Pray for our upcoming trainings dedicated to bringing hope and healing to them as we address physical, emotional, relational, and most certainly spiritual needs with concrete and eternal answers.
    • MENA women’s trainings taking place in September, October, and November
    • South Sudan training in late November or early December
