Weariness is a state of being that drains our energy and steals our joy. We can become weary when life is hard and busy, and takes unexpected twists and turns bringing about unwanted change. We’ve all experienced that, I’m quite sure. Yet, God challenges us in His word, to not grow weary in doing good. In “due season” He says, we will reap a wonderful harvest, if we do not give up.
Women in the Window International is grateful for so many things. This past year we trained more than 600 women leaders living and working among some of the most brutally oppressive and hedonistic peoples in the world. These women, and their families, are often among the most severely persecuted Christians on the planet in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Yet, they live for God, shine for Christ, and bear much fruit in the power of the Holy Spirit! We are so honored to be a source of encouragement and strength, as we serve alongside these women of indomitable courage!
God’s word has a lot to say about courage, a word we’ll focus on throughout the year, so that we do not grow weary. As we begin the year together, I invite you to pray for Women in the Window International, our staff, servant leaders, and volunteers – that we would prioritize His word and prayer above all else, so that we listen well to His Spirit and “know the Word that sustains the weary”.
“The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.” Isaiah 50:4

Open doors to return to the Middle East/North Africa region beginning this month! Pray for our upcoming leadership development training January 25th to 31st that God will once again grant visas and provide the way for His select group of women leaders, and for His Word that sustains the weary to nourish our souls and strengthen our hands for the spiritual battles we will face in 2016 with joy!
Kim and Cheryl will serve with our MENA women leaders to discover effective ingredients that help us lead with contextual sensitivity and Gospel creativity. We seek to model reproducible trainings, servant leadership, as well as mentoring in small groups and one on one.
More trainings with our women leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Middle East and North African women leaders, and among North Africans serving in Western Europe are being planned and scheduled for 2016. Please pray for all the plans to be established as God directs, in various capacities.
Called to Courage, Spring Luncheon to be held on March 16th at the Beach Club in Palm Beach. We are excited to welcome Koki Desai from India to speak on behalf of women worldwide. Many don’t realize that Northern India has up to 172 million Muslims, which is more than 14% of their population. This along with other facts about the treatment of women in the subcontinent of India make Koki an outstanding spokeswoman, on behalf of all the major issues women are facing globally.
Please pray for Koki, and her husband, Johnny as they travel and serve with Women in the Window both in India and here in the USA, during February and March. We are honoured to partner with them as together we replace poverty and injustice with dignity and purpose in Christ. May God grant us all well-chosen words that sustain the weary as we listen and obey His still small voice of courage in 2016!
