The sights…the smells…the tastes..the sounds! Our team has been experiencing all Greece has to offer as we prepare for the work to be done here!
OPA, the traditional celebratory exclamation, is a great way to describe our excitement for all the Lord will be doing in us and through us in Athens.
Our spirit-inspired theme for the week is FULLY ENGAGED!
Here is a brief recap of all we have been engaged in thus far!
Day 1 – FULLY ENGAGED in travel!
Your prayers were certainly felt as we traveled overseas. We felt God’s presence through travel challenges and our arrival in the hustle and bustle of Athens.
Day 2 – FULLY ENGAGED in fun!
Our team had an opportunity to explore Athens on a double decker bus. This was a great time to bond as a team and enjoy this beautiful city!
Day 3 – FULLY ENGAGED in worship!
We were blessed to gather at local churches to worship with local ministry partners of WiW and First Pres in North Palm Beach where we saw the reality of Acts 16:5 being lived out loud! “So the churches were being strengthened in the faith and were increasing in number daily.” Pastors Alex & Tim have built a strong network of churches, including participation with Iranian, Afghan, and Syrian believers.
Tomorrow we will experience an engaging time of fellowship with our mission partners, refugee families, and pastors of the local churches with a picnic at the National Gardens. Preparation for our lessons have begun and we will gather tomorrow afternoon to prepare our hearts and minds for the week ahead!
