In observance of Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, Muslims worldwide began 30 days of fasting and prayer on June 28. There are approximately 1.6 billion Muslims around the world (about 23% of the world’s population). We invite you to join us over the next 30 days to fast and pray for these seekers that they will find the Giver of life, hope, and peace – Jesus. We will post a daily prayer focus here until Ramadan ends on July 27.
Pray that Muslims will recognize that all of their religious activities, attempts to earn salvation, and attempts to be righteous apart from Christ are futile. Pray that they will realize that God is loving, kind, and merciful and that their salvation can come by grace alone through faith in Christ, not through anything they can do themselves (Ephesians 2:4-9).
Pray specifically for the nation of Iraq (pop. 32,585,692 – 99% Muslim – approx. 16,082,218 women).
