Refugees and others displaced by war are rejoicing here in the Horn of Africa. As we complete our 4 day training on Advocacy, here are just some of their comments:
*God is our Creator and all people are created in His image with dignity and value.
*We have been oppressed but now we are free to follow specific steps to access our human rights in our communities.
*I am filled with peace and God’s Shalom as a result of this training. Thank you so much!
Women mapped their communities and an action plan to access practical and legal services to benefit and protect them and those they love from horrific and commonplace acts of violence.
Most of all they celebrated their dignity and value, even their beauty in God’s eyes!
Our WiW team from Africa and America taught biblical and practical lessons. A local human rights lawyer and female police officer provided excellent advice!
