Training Sparks Paradigm Shift for West African Women

Today was our first day of training and everything went very well.  We have 45 women leaders from West Africa with us and they are thoroughly engaged in the training. Our ministry partner, Elizabeth, said that the women are experiencing a paradigm shift in their understanding of how to lead their ministries as they begin to see themselves as trainers of trainers. This is an exciting and excellent development!

Our Micro-enterprise Servant Leader Jackie Hilliard is doing a great job of training and Genevieve Caron, who is studying international business at PBA, has been a true godsend with her fluent French!  I am deeply impressed with both our WiW team and the African women’s competency in studying our Women in the Window inductive Bible curriculum.  In addition to the great training experience, we all have been blessed with sincere times of prayer and praise, singing, and dancing with joy!

Thank you for your continued prayers for our team and the West African women!   Pray that they will celebrate with great joy as God increases their understanding of His Word, and that this fresh understanding will strengthen them as leaders and give them new visions for their ministries.

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord.  Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”  The Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be still, for this is a holy day.  Do not grieve.”  Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them.
Nehemiah 8:10-12 (NIV)

With love and joy,
