God is not unjust, nor is He forgetful

Our focus on justice continues this month as we head to Asia and regard the lives of women and girls who are being set free from oppression through the hands-on ministry of Women in the Window.

First stop: India!

Education is highly valued among the people of India, but many do not have access to education throughout the subcontinent. This is especially true of girls and women. Here are two stories of young women in India, whose lives have been impacted and are eager to share what they learned:

“I have 2 girls, both married. After the first day of the training, I called my daughters and told them I had learned many new things about women’s health. I never discussed anything with my daughters regarding the issues related with periods and health. No one taught me, and I too didn’t discuss it with my daughters. I will tell mothers at my church that they have to talk with their daughters, and now I can teach them.”

-Urvashi

“I learnt a lot from the Inductive Bible study about a woman in the Bible. This is the first time I learned we can study the Bible like this. I got many answers by asking who, what, when, and where. I am so amazed. Surely I will do this study at home and teach at my women’s fellowship at Church.”

-Sujita

Throughout October, we will focus on the women and girls of Asia, and how WiW is fulfilling the mission of Christ to set captives free (see Luke 4:18) as we continue our Bangladesh trainings with the Hilltribe girls rescued from great harm and destruction, and prepare the Way into Pakistan in 2026.

Yes! We praise God for our ministry partners and the JOY of serving Christ with them, shoulder to shoulder. The unsung hero of this story, and every story that WiW loves to tell, is the story of our volunteers! We cannot emphasize enough the immense value our volunteers bring to our mission.

Here’s a pop quiz to help put their significance in perspective:
How many staff members work for WiW?

a. 5
b. 7
c. 12
d. 2

If you guessed “d.” you are correct!
To emphasize the impact of our volunteers, consider the ratio of the work God has called us to accomplish to the number of women & girls served to the number of staff!

Women and girls trained in 2025 (so far!): 2674
Number of staff: 2

We appreciate YOU more than we can possibly say, and we wantto celebrate YOU throughout October!

On Wednesday, October 15th, we invite you to visit our office after 12pm to receive a free gift and to enjoy a cup of international coffee or tea together. If you are considering joining our team, you are most welcome, too!
