Trust.
It’s a powerful word. When, and perhaps I should say, IF, we trust one another, conversations can shift from the daily niceties to matters of the heart. When trust is absent, there is almost no
reason to have a conversation. This is true in anything that matters:relationships within families, among friends, and yes, even our relationship with God Himself. God releases direction, protection, and even favor to those who trust Him.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
In today’s WiW Wednesday e-newsletter, we want to share with you some of the important ways we endeavor to make this a ministry that you can TRUST as it relates to both Milestones and Money.
Milestones
enable us to report the quantitative results of our work. Each number represents a life, and the life of each woman, regardless of the nation in which she is located, is a valuable soul before God, with intrinsic worth in this world, and an astonishing impact on eternity. We report REAL NUMBERS counted by our team when we have the JOY and HONOR of serving with our ministry partners as we provide WiW trainings in heart, head, hands, health and human rights.
AND we only partner with like-minded ministry partners who have agreed to high ethical and biblical standards of integrity. Their training reports, replete with both qualitative and quantitative results are TRUSTWORTHY.
Each number, or milestone, is attached to a real person – a person whose life has been impacted and whose thumbprint on humanity has been transformed to impart the power of the Gospel of Jesus, in both tangible and intangible ways.
Money.
But what about money, you might wonder? How do we account for the dollars so generously given to Women in the Window International? Believe it or not, this is a deeply spiritual matter as well. Jesus addressed the matter openly and frequently, with approximately 15% of his sermons focused on this vital area of discipleship.
Surprised? Don’t be.Because where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. For Women in the Window International, each dollar given and each dollar invested in the work God has entrusted to us is a holy TRUST. For that reason, we diligently work to provide accurate accounting through our bookkeeper, board treasurer, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and our accrediting agency: ECFA.
We are quite honored to be an accredited mission of the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability. Here is a link to their website and our Standards of Accountability, which include both quantitative and qualitative reporting. We are required to have an annual audit by our CPA, and each of our processes has been carefully crafted and strictly implemented to guard the integrity of WiW. We know that you and your TRUST are a gift, a treasure from God Himself, and we want to guard the TRUST. Here is the most recent certificate of approval sent by the ECFA, proudly displaying the word ‘INTEGRITY’ as a watchword:
Thank you for placing your TRUST in Women in the Window International, as you donate your time, your talents, and yes, your treasure.
May God richly reward you with an abundant return on your investment!
