Are you who they say you are?
“My young daughter needed an operation, and it would cost my family $2,000. Far more money than my family could ever possibly find…
Some of my friends had been saying to me, “Ask Jesus, Ask Jesus!
During Ramadan I went to the roof to pray, crying out with all my heart, I asked,
“Are you the Lord? Are you who they say you are?”
That very night I woke to a dream with a man dressed in white at my door. Islamic culture demands that I refuse to allow Him entrance. But He was shining – bright and white – glorious and full of overwhelming joy. So, I invited Him in. . .
“I am here to rebuild your daughter! Her walls are broken and I will rebuild them.”
In the morning, the hospital called and they offered to do my daughter’s surgery for free. Now I KNOW that He is the One True God, Jesus, the Savior of all the world. He healed my daughter, and He is near to us through all of the conflict here in Lebanon.”
your prayers and support for Women in the Window International have opened a window, and in some cases such as this story directly from Lebanon, a door for the Lord Himself to enter and minister life, hope and healing. We hear victory stories such as this one from Nour*, even amid much suffering, turmoil and almost torturous uncertainty.
“When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
Psalm 11:3
The foundations are being shaken, and in many cases destroyed throughout the Middle East. But in the midst of all the destruction, God is at work building into the lives of those who need Jesus so desperately in times like these. What can the righteous do? We can reach out with arms of love – listening, caring and then sharing the awesome Word of God through the stories of other women in the Bible.
Our ministry partner is on the field bringing washing machines set up in the schools where hundreds of thousands of displaced people are now living in and around Beirut. While the women take time to wash their clothes, they sit with them, listen to them, and help them understand that their stories matter – a lot – to us and to God!
Would you like to help?
