Greetings from Zimbabwe!

This week, our WiW team members are in Zimbabwe with our Ministry Partner, African Enterprise, equipping 30 women leaders from across the nation through training in Narrative Inductive Bible Study, centered on the account of Rahab, found in the book of Joshua.

Alongside these studies, participants are engaging key advocacy lessons from the Women in the Window International curriculum, with a special focus on learning to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves” (Proverbs 31:8–9). We are expectant for how God will use these women to bring truth, courage, and compassionate leadership back to their communities. Hear what they are already saying from the first two days of Training:

“In this training, I learned that Our God is a God of Justice and He looks toward the vulnerable…”

-Junior Paradza, trainee

“This training has opened my eyes to the seriousness of injustice in the sight of God and seeing others in the image of God”

-Nomasonto Tuturu, trainee

“This workshop has come to me at the right time… it reminded me that I am still important to God and He values me…”

-Faith Tambara, trainee

From the field:

“Giving a Voice to the voiceless’, is the focus of our WiW Zimbabwe Human Rights training. God’s Word is clear, we are to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves – Proverbs 31:8-9.

We thank God for the enthusiasm in the room!

These women leaders are leaning in with intentionality; ready and eager to share. Their hearts are fertile soil for multiplication as each one develops a critical pathway of application addressing issues of violence and abuse of women and children, inheritance rights too.

Multiple women expressed their gratitude for our WiW Inductive Narrative Bible study method, essential to helping them grow deeper in God’s Word and learn how to pass this dynamic knowledge on to those in their sphere of life.

2 Timothy 2:2 in action! We thank God for YOU and your prayers 🙏🏽”

Taking a stand in a difficult land.

David reminds us in Psalm 124 that if it hadn’t been the LORD who was on our side, those who oppose and oppress us would have swallowed us alive – YES! Our help is in His Name of the LORD.

In the majority world within the 10/40 window, (where 2/3 of the world’s population lives and 85% of those living on less than $2 a day live too!) it is often hard for women to understand this truth. Their daily reality looks different, but that is exactly why WiW is thrilled to be on the cutting edge as we launch a new partnership in one of the most challenging nations in the world today

– Pakistan!

Open doors: God has graciously opened the doors for us to launch a significant new partnership with Pakistani women who understand the Lord’s love and watchcare both from the Word of God, and from the miraculous ways that God is at work in their own lives.

Open hearts: And when women here understand that they are not unseen nor are their cries unheard, rather there is a God who is on their side, they are able to find hope and practical help they need to face the future. And that hope and help is so keenly needed in this Muslim-dominant nation. Here’s a snapshot of life for both rural and urban women in Pakistan:

Rural Women

  • Limited education (80% never attended school)
  • Often forced into hazardous work (brick-kiln labor, daily wage work)
  • Limited access to healthcare and social services
  • Strict cultural norms limiting mobility
  • High risk of forced conversions and marriages

Urban Women:

  • Limited access to quality education and employment
  • Often experience discrimination in the workplace and society
  • Social exclusion and marginalization

Common Challenges:

  • Faith-based oppression and persecution
  • Limited decision-making (they lack agency in the areas of life that matter most to them and to their children and families)
  • High levels of stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Trauma from forced conversions, marriages, and social exclusion
  • Limited access to mental health services and support
  • Lack of strong Christian identity and sense of purpose
  • Limited exposure to Christian teachings and resources

Need for Christian Identity and Empowerment:

  • Agent of Christ catalysts: Christian women need role models and mentors who can inspire and empower them to live out their faith boldly.
  • Biblical teachings and resources: Access to Christian scriptures, teachings, and resources can help Christian women develop a strong sense of identity and purpose.
  • Faith-based support networks: Christian women need supportive communities and networks that can provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support.

By addressing these challenges and needs, we equip and empower women in Pakistan to live out their faith with confidence, courage, and compassion, replacing poverty and injustice with dignity and purpose in Christ. And their faith becomes a lifeline of hope for those who have no hope!

When Water is a Prayer: Mothers of the 10/40 Window

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the women who raised us.

This Mother’s Day, many of us will celebrate with flowers, meals, and time with the women we love.

But in many places throughout the 10/40 window, motherhood looks different.

It often means walking miles each day for water—water that isn’t always safe.

For many mothers in Bangladesh, survival shapes every decision. They rise before sunrise, carry water for their families, and give everything they have—often with little in return.

Clean water changes everything. It protects children, restores time, and brings dignity back into the home.

Our Mother’s Day well project includes a personalized WiW health training for the women in this village of Bangladesh so that they can not only have physical water, but become a spring of living water gaining eternal life for themselves, and offering it to their families and community!

You see, each WiW training enables women to know the love of Christ in personal, practical and biblical ways as they read about other women in the Bible. Jesus told the woman at the well, “The water that I shall give you shall become in you, a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:14b

Yes! Together we will see the results as women are also transformed by the Living

“She is clothed with strength and dignity…”
Proverbs 31:25

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you…”
Isaiah 66:13

“A legacy of sincere faith…”
2 Timothy 1:5

Your support helps provide both physical and spiritual life in these ways:

Clean drinking water

  • Clean drinking water
  • Health for families
  • Time restored to mothers
  • Lives transformed by the Living Water of God’s Word

Deep Wells of Faith

This week we introduce our Mother’s Day offering that provides both a WiW Health Training and a Deep Tube Well in Jessore, Bangladesh where water is dangerously scarce. This leads to halted agriculture, and a March 2025 study found that only 27.5% of tested groundwater in Jessore municipality is safe, with significant levels of iron, manganese, and arsenic. (ScienceDirect © 2026).

But not only will we bring physical water to the people of this community, but the Living Water that results from a deep personal relationship with our loving Lord Jesus! Today we hear about one of the Bengali women leaders who shares how she is reaching a new depth of her knowledge of Christ through our WiW Training received in 2024. Through our ongoing partnership she is not only growing in her personal knowledge but passing it on…

“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.”

Psalm 9:10

WITH A SPIRIT OF HUMILITY, Shipra thanked her loving Lord for His abundant blessings, particularly the privilege of participating in this transformative experience. She had always sought to grow in her faith, but this opened her eyes in ways she never expected. Instead of simply knowing about God, she felt that she truly knew God as Savior and Lord and became aware of His love in tangible ways as she went throughout her day.

Before this Women in the Window training on Essentials, Shipra was unfamiliar with the inductive narrative Bible study method. She had read the Scriptures, but now she learned the Essentials method with five steps: Preparation, Observation, Interpretation, Application, and Reflection, a more intentional and structured way of engaging with God’s Word. As she reflected on each step, she realized how much richer her understanding of the Bible had become. The approach encouraged her to dive deeper, not only to read the words but to see them through the lens of prayer and careful reflection.

With a newfound sense of purpose, she shares this Bible study with her friends and family, praying that they, too, will experience God’s presence and grow to know Him for themselves. She thanks WIW with all her heart for providing this invaluable opportunity. Shipra not only gained knowledge about God but knows Him in a personal way.

WiW is thrilled to continue and to deepen our partnership with our dear sister, Shipra, in Bangladesh through their locally-led ministry and provide this ongoing “deep-well” of learning and growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ AND an opportunity to change the lives of more than 100 families impacted by this Deep Tube Well project and our upcoming WiW Health Training—

An Anchor of Hope in the Middle East

We are holding on to hope that the peace treaty in the Middle East will hold and praying with our ministry partners as they draw near and hold fast to Christ! Through the violence, through the tears, we continue to sow seeds of the Gospel together. In these perilous days, we joined together to help our ministry partners care for the tangible needs of women and their families through the Washing Machine Initiative as women were gently introduced to the tangible love of Christ.

The stories of anguish are many, but so are the stories of heartfelt courage and astounding hope. Here is just one story of many, about the way God is work through your offerings and prayers:

Phoebe returned from the market with a small parcel of vegetables and a packet of rice. Due to the war, the market near their home no longer boasted mounds of fresh produce, aromatic spices or bins overflowing with grain.

Yet she would attempt to do what she can to prepare healthy meals. Upon her return, she was greeted with the heart-wrenching news that soldiers had entered her home and taken her husband, Omar, captive. Her daughter sobbed in her arms for a very long time.

Desperate and afraid, they had stealthily crossed the border to Lebanon to find refuge with relatives. “The local church here provides relief,” they were told. Phoebe and her daughter found their way to this church. They were astounded by the love of Christ these believers demonstrated. Their lives were captivating and contagious. Phoebe desperately wanted to experience this life of peace, joy and love.

She was given a Bible and began to read what the Bible says about God’s love for the poor and His passion for justice. Soon she believed. She responded to our ministry partner’s care, including the Washing Machine ministry with enthusiasm and a heart of gratitude.

She is preparing to return to the southern region of Lebanon where she will now be a “missionary” in her own right as she displays the contagious and captivating love of Christ; sure, steadfast and an anchor of hope for her entire family! (Hebrews 6:19)

Your financial offering to Women in the Window touches and transforms women like Phoebe in many nations of Africa, Asia the Middle East and North Africa. May God’s generous grace continue to warm your heart and reward you in ways both visible and invisible. You are the heroes and heroines of this story, and I pray that even today, you are holding fast to the hope of Christ!

Yours because I’m His,

P.S. Mark your calendar for Friday, May 1st, to hear directly from one of our ministry partners in the Middle East during our First Friday Prayer Gathering online and here at our WiW office!

Anika’s Story: Come with us to Bangladesh!

The following is a true story from our friends in Bangladesh. We are humbled and honored to serve with them and their focus on the needs of oppressed women and girls. This year WiW will serve hundreds of women like Anika because together, we believe that when a woman is reached, a home is touched, and a community is transformed.

STAY TUNED for more stories from Bangladesh throughout the month of April…

“My family lives very close together, in the same village and even in the same home area. Every day, my grandmother cooked food for my father. But my mother was often left out. My father ate his meal, and he did not notice that my mother had not been given any food.

This made my mother very sad. I could see her crying, and it hurt my heart. I did not understand why the people who should care for her were not being kind.

As her daughter, and a younger woman, I felt many feelings—sadness, anger, and confusion. I was upset with my father and my grandmother, because their actions were hurting my mother and our family.

In my community, girls and women are sometimes treated as less important than boys and men. I had seen this before, but I never thought it would happen in my own family. When it did, my heart felt very heavy.

Holding on to these angry feelings made me feel worse. I felt tired inside and unhappy, and I didn’t know how to make things better. Honestly, sometimes I didn’t even want to live.

One day, a neighbor invited me to a training with Women in the Window International. Something inside me said I should go…”

“At the training, I learned an important lesson: forgiveness can heal our hearts. I learned that if I wanted to help my mother and bring change, I had to let go of my anger. If I did not, the hurt would only grow inside me. Here I learned to forgive those who have deeply hurt us.

Now, I am learning to pray—for peace, healing, and a forgiving heart. What I have learned, I want to share with other women and girls in my village, so they can also find strength and hope. I am eager to attend the next training that focuses on health and nutrition, and to continue to learn about the God of the Bible, and Jesus our Savior, who died to give us life. And who lives forever to offer forgiveness to all who ask!”

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.”

Ephesians 4:32

I Am Thirsty…

“I am thirsty.” — Jesus (John 19:28)

How thirsty are you?

Most of us know what it feels like to be thirsty. We forget to drink enough water. We feel dryness or fatigue during the day. But have you—or I—ever been so thirsty that our very life was slipping away?

For me, the honest answer is no.

Yet Jesus—the One who created water—spoke these words from the cross while dying in our place. He endured unimaginable agony and deprivation. He became the living sacrifice for all mankind—every tribe, tongue, and nation—especially for those who believe.

Jesus understood physical thirst.

And He satisfies spiritual thirst.

Through His sacrifice, He meets the deepest need of every soul that believes. And when we receive Him, something remarkable happens: we don’t just find life—we become a source of life to others.

Jesus said to the woman at the well:

“Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

— John 4:14

So what about you,?

How is your soul today?

Are you thirsty?

And is your thirst being satisfied through the beautiful sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ?

If not, make the decision today to receive, believe, and follow Him – and drink to the full of His Love.

If so, remember this:

Jesus died so that we might become wells of living water for others.

Kim’s busy… so I’m taking over for a sec 👀

Hi friends!!

Kim is a little busy right now… so she handed me the mic for a minute 😊 I hope you don’t mind a little break from your regularly scheduled programming!

I didn’t want to just pop into your inbox without a reason—so here it is: we genuinely want to get better at serving you,

One of my favorite things to talk about is the Body of Christ and how Jesus invites us to partner—first with Him to accomplish His mission in the world, and also with one another. And do you know what that means, friend? It means we could not do all the Lord is asking of us here at Women on the Window without the vitally important YOU.

That includes how we communicate with you. The kind of emails we send, the opportunities we share, the stories we highlight… all of it.

But instead of guessing what you want, I’d rather just ask.

Would you take 2 minutes to fill out this quick survey? Your input really does shape what we do moving forward.

Because of your support, we’ve been able to train 18,984 women in the Narrative Inductive Bible Study and in one of our five training capacities—Heart, Head, Hands, Health, and Human Rights. We truly couldn’t do this without you!

Thank you for being part of this community—it means more than you probably realize.

In Christ,

Destiny Valdez

P.S. This really is quick—most people finish in under 2 minutes, and it helps us serve you better.

Middle East Miracle

Are you who they say you are?

“My young daughter needed an operation, and it would cost my family $2,000. Far more money than my family could ever possibly find…

Some of my friends had been saying to me, “Ask Jesus, Ask Jesus!

During Ramadan I went to the roof to pray, crying out with all my heart, I asked,

“Are you the Lord? Are you who they say you are?”

That very night I woke to a dream with a man dressed in white at my door. Islamic culture demands that I refuse to allow Him entrance. But He was shining – bright and white – glorious and full of overwhelming joy. So, I invited Him in. . .

“I am here to rebuild your daughter! Her walls are broken and I will rebuild them.”

In the morning, the hospital called and they offered to do my daughter’s surgery for free. Now I KNOW that He is the One True God, Jesus, the Savior of all the world. He healed my daughter, and He is near to us through all of the conflict here in Lebanon.”

your prayers and support for Women in the Window  International have opened a window, and in some cases such as this story  directly from Lebanon, a door for the Lord Himself to enter and minister life,  hope and healing. We hear victory stories such as this one from Nour*, even  amid much suffering, turmoil and almost torturous uncertainty.

When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
Psalm 11:3

The foundations are being shaken, and in many cases destroyed throughout the Middle East. But in the midst of all the destruction, God is at work building into the lives of those who need Jesus so desperately in times like these. What can the righteous do? We can reach out with arms of love – listening, caring and then sharing the awesome Word of God through the stories of other women in the Bible.

Our ministry partner is on the field bringing washing machines set up in the schools where hundreds of thousands of displaced people are now living in and around Beirut. While the women take time to wash their clothes, they sit with them, listen to them, and help them understand that their stories matter – a lot – to us and to God!

Would you like to help? Every dollar we give enables them to provide one more load of laundry and listen to one more story . . . all the while, sharing the Greatest Story Ever Told. the story of Jesus and His amazing grace. Give $25 or $2500 and your gift goes directly and 100% to our ministry partners in Lebanon.

Who’s your mama?

What emotions are stirred in your heart when you ponder the role played in your own life by your Mom, and perhaps of your spiritual Mom? For many, it produces a warm heart that ponders the tender lovingkindness we experienced from our earliest memories. I don’t want to ignore the very real impact that may linger from memories of neglect, or worse. Today, we want to celebrate with you, as women across the globe and throughout history, continue to hold an integral and irreplaceable role in the Kingdom of God as mothers.

Mother’s Day will be celebrated in many nations across the 10.40 window this month. Meanwhile, here in the USA, along with the UK, Australia and the Philippines, we focus our attention on Women’s History Month. Across the globe, International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th. Together, let’s look at one of our most significant roles as women: Motherhood.

Whether you are a mother of many children, one child, or no children, if you are a woman, you have the potential to “mother.” Spiritual mothering takes place through us as we learn to teach, train, mentor and minister to the deep abiding needs of others. The Bible says that there is great JOY in the presence of the angels of God, meaning that is God’s JOY, when anyone becomes a child of God through salvation.

Spiritual Moms hold a profound place in the hearts of their spiritual children, and they are near and dear to the heart of God!

So, in honor of Women’s History Month, International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day in the 10.40 window—let’s reflect today on some of the wonderful ways God has shaped His Story, and everyone’s history through the life of some notable Moms…

“Many an obscure woman has ruled the world through the child in which her noblest self has been reproduced in masculine deeds and words. Rachel in Joseph; Jochebed in Moses, Hannah in Samuel; Elizabeth in John the Baptist; Monica in Augustine; the mother of the Wesley’s in her illustrious sons. With all reverence we say it, Mary of Nazareth has attained an influence which the Church in Rome could never give her, through her Son who rules the ages. We know that in Him the male and female blend in perfect symmetry.” F. B. Meyer, Christ in Isaiah

How did Joseph know how to forgive his brothers? Did he learn from his Mom? How about Moses’ lifelong commitment to the God of his youth, was that inspired by Jochebed as she sang songs over him in his infancy? I love the story of Hannah, and it is featured in Essentials, but Elizabeth is possibly one of my favorite biblical Moms. Who is your favorite? And why?

We invite you to share your favorite Mom story or photo by reply email OR, better yet, head over to our Women in the Window social media Facebook or Instagram pages and share with our online community. This week we are celebrating women who live for God’s Kingdom – women throughout Scripture and history gave their faith, courage, obedience and leadership to take their rightful place in God’s Eternal Story. May You, and I, be among them!

Proclaim and Celebrate – International Women’s Day!

“The Lord gives the word; the women who proclaim the good news are a great host.”
Psalm 68:11

“Give to Gain” is this year’s International Women’s Day theme. The IWD 2026 theme promotes a giving and team-oriented culture and highlights the importance of support and reciprocity. Opportunities and support for women rise when individuals, groups, and communities contribute liberally. [1] We agree with this perspective from the global news source, Business Standard, and we celebrate the way God has uniquely made women as givers. All throughout the Bible, we see women giving, caring and yes, proclaiming.

From Deborah under a palm tree, proclaiming the truth in the book of Judges, to Huldah in the Chronicles, wisely counseling King Josiah, to Mary, singing songs of prophetic glory about the Gift of God who would pierce her soul, to Lydia who opened her heart, her home and launched the very first house church in the western world – we are proclaimers!

This First Friday, March 6th, we will hear directly from one of our ministry partners in Zimbabwe, Shamiso, who is a Human Rights attorney with powerful stories to tell. Our WiW team is headed to Zimbabwe this Spring to serve alongside her and her team to:

Replace poverty and injustice with dignity and purpose in Christ!

Contrast the world’s standards and statistics to the work of the Lord through WiW:

  • Last year, you helped us raise $4,000 for 40 Sudanese women to start their own sewing business – and they are thriving, rather than surviving—as a result!
  • Pakistani women and girls will have the opportunity to see themselves as gifts from God rather than objects of torment, through Essentials Bible Study method.
  • Middle Eastern women embrace principles of justice without compromising their position of biblical truth. And they are learning that Their Story Matters to God!

So, dear friend, wherever you are on March 8th, and whatever you are doing – proclaim the Good News! The beautiful gifts of God’s truth and love are not meant to be hoarded – they are given so that we will share freely and generously. We do give to gain, but to gain the Kingdom of God so that others can know Him, love Him, and serve Him too. Learn how you can do this with Women in the Window International below!

This time next year

We have been talking about seeds throughout the month of February. Sowing. Reaping. And learning to trust God in the waiting. And did you know that farming is a team effort?

Yep, according to Apostle Paul, we all need to work together to reap a good harvest:

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So, neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.”

1 Corinthians 3:6-9

Paul had planted the seeds of the Good News of the Gospel, his friend, Apollos, had watered the seeds with encouragement, prayer, and powerful teaching, even so only God can make seeds, and hearts, grow, and bear fruit.

It was just about one year ago that we met together with our ministry partners in the Middle East. We focused on Your Story Matters curriculum, authored by Leslie Leyland Fields, is a spiritually formative ministry tool designed to help our ministry partners discover, write, and share their personal stories. But even before we started, God orchestrated a divine encounter that brought together a woman leader who had felt called to serve in an exceedingly difficult Arab nation and another woman leader who is from this very nation.

As they talked, you could feel the excitement filling the air as it spilled over on all of us in attendance. They began to enthusiastically explore the possibility of this tiny seed of hope, blossoming and bearing fruit, much fruit and fruit that will last for eternity (John 15).

I am thrilled to share that one year later, they are together again and their conversation has developed into more than just a dream or even a vision. Plans are unfolding! God is about to give the growth that will yield a bountiful and beautiful harvest of changes lives in one of the most difficult places in the MENA region of North Africa and the Middle East.

So, I leave you with these questions – what seeds are you planting today that could just reap a beautiful harvest this time next year? And who is helping you garden? Most of all, and best of all, are you looking to God, the only One who can and will “give the growth?”

The need for seed- and how to increase your supply!

I know we are all weary of those who promise, sometimes falsely, an abundance of supply.

Yet, the principles of supply and even abundance are an integral part of God’s Word. We have noted that the word seed is prominent in all forms of biblical literature, in both the Old and New Testaments. And that the physical principles of sowing and reaping, are living pictures of how God is at work in the spiritual, oven invisible, matters to reveal His truth, His goodness and even His beauty. This morning, I am struck by the fact that God not only supplies an abundant harvest BUT He actually increases our store or supply of seed:

“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”

2 Corinthians 9:10-11

The principles of sowing and reaping in our gardens, are living pictures of what God will do when we trust and obey His Word. The following story depicts how Women in the Window is sowing the seeds of God’s Word and reaping an abundant harvest …

“This is my wife… now we can work together!”

The day was long, and hot with temperatures spiking 120 degrees Fahrenheit and higher. Yet the women gathered around eager to grow, eager to learn! We were enthralled by their attentive minds and fervent hearts as we taught the Bible story by story with order, accuracy and in a context that seemed strikingly similar to the African village where we found ourselves.

The women were divided into small groups, and each was assigned a story to memorize, word for word. At the end of the time, they came and told their story to the entire group. We were told stories about women from both the Old and New Testaments, in English, Arabic, and local dialects from Sudan, South Sudan, Congo, and Uganda. They were then shown how they could use these stories to minister to women in their villages as we practiced the 5 steps of the WiW narrative inductive Bible study method = Essentials.

At the conclusion of the teaching, various ladies shared testimonies of what they had learned throughout the day. One lady, with a glowing face, jumped up to share her story.

“For many years I have wanted to know how I could learn the Bible to share it with women in our church and village who are hurting. Now I know that I can learn the Bible, too, and share it with others.” It was at this point that the pastor came to one of our team members and began to shake her hand and thank her profusely for the day’s teaching. “This is my wife!” he told her, “And now we can work together.”

You see, one of the challenges of the church in many parts of Sub-Saharan Africa has been that, while pastors are well-educated, many of the pastors’ wives lack a similar educational background. They are put in positions of leadership among the women in their church, but do not know where to begin or how to help in meeting their needs. They now have a tool whereby they can minister the Word of God.

As their husbands or literate women tell them the Bible stories, they can learn, understand, and share these life principles with others.

It is an incredible joy to see their excitement as they move forward to share the Good News. As you pray for Women in the Window and give to supply the “seeds” of God’s Word with women like Joyce, we believe that God will in fact, increase and multiply your seed supply!

Thank you, <>, for your loving prayers, faithful service, and generous support!

Yours Because I’m His,

Sowing in Rocky Soil – Sushmita’s Story

“Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow…”
Isaiah 1:18a

But the truth is, she is sowing seeds in rocky soil. According to Jesus in Luke 8:11, “The seed is the Word of God.” Sushmita has come to know and love the Word of God, and the God of the Word. She longs for her family to understand that rather than millions of idols who impersonate God, there is one true God who died in their place to offer everlasting life in Heaven, and to give us all an abundant life, each and every day. Her family is steeped in religious tradition, but Jesus came to set them free, free indeed!

“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31-32

Sushmita has participated in the ministry of Women in the Window in India!

She is learning to address the needs of the whole person through our focus on Heart (Spiritual Development), Head (Leadership Development), Health, Human rights and Hands (business development).

Fast Fact:

The idea that women can help their families financially is an incredible source of encouragement and daily sustenance to overcome their poverty.

Poverty among women is a harsh reality in many of the nations where WiW serves. Within the 10/40 Window—home to the world’s largest concentration of poverty—many women survive on only a few hundred dollars a year. In these contexts, empowering women in business development is not just transformative; it is essential.

This month, WiW is focused on providing a powerful resource for Sushmita, and hundreds more just like her throughout the 10.40 nations of North Africa, and several Asian nations, including India!

This resource is Essentials — a Bible study that relates to the many facets of a woman’s life: Relationships that Matter, Creativity that Leads to Generosity and others.

Will you help us provide Essentials in her native tongue of Hindi so that the seed of the Word of God can set their hearts free?

We have received a generous donation of $5,000 to match dollar for dollar so that Essentials can be translated, published, printed and taught in Pakistan, Algeria and India! As you give, you are helping Sushmita, and hundreds of other women like her, set captives free as they break up the rocky soil.

‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.’
Hosea 10:12 NLT
