Even in the lands beyond you…

One of the FAQ’s, (frequently asked questions) that we here at Women in the Window International are often asked is: “How do you meet your ministry partners?”

Fair question – but the answer is not always simple. God has a way of connecting people through a myriad of situations, circumstances and across networks and relationships. He works to accomplish His highest will and to move us all towards His desired outcomes.

This growth process often begins by planting an earnest desire in our own hearts to actually accomplish what God Himself has in mind for us to do. For example, the Apostle Paul stated his heartfelt desire to take the Gospel much further than Corinth as he expressed in 2 Corinthians 10:16, “so that we may preach the gospel even in the lands beyond you, but not to boast in work already accomplished in another one’s field of activity.”

Paul’s remarks are spoken with humility- “but not to boast,” and also with earnest desire, “even in lands beyond you,” he makes his intentions clear, and his prayers known.

But we also don’t want to limit the miraculous work of our good and true and beautiful Savior. You see, each endeavor we make, each training we lead, and then, each partnership we launch is about reaching the one who has yet to hear the good news of the Gospel – and the one who is still sitting in the darkness of their own sin, because the light of Christ has yet to reach them.

Because of YOU, and together with our ministry partners in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, we continue to hear stories of the women, girls, families, villages and communities, who are now able to walk in the light of His love as prophesied in Isaiah 9:2 and fulfilled in Matthew 4:16, “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.”

Story after story, life after life reflect the powerful and brilliant dawn of His great light radiating to and through the lives of the women we at WiW reach, teach, train and then release to multiply lasting change into their world … YES! even in the lands beyond them!
