When Water is a Prayer: Mothers of the 10/40 Window

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the women who raised us.

This Mother’s Day, many of us will celebrate with flowers, meals, and time with the women we love.

But in many places throughout the 10/40 window, motherhood looks different.

It often means walking miles each day for water—water that isn’t always safe.

For many mothers in Bangladesh, survival shapes every decision. They rise before sunrise, carry water for their families, and give everything they have—often with little in return.

Clean water changes everything. It protects children, restores time, and brings dignity back into the home.

Our Mother’s Day well project includes a personalized WiW health training for the women in this village of Bangladesh so that they can not only have physical water, but become a spring of living water gaining eternal life for themselves, and offering it to their families and community!

You see, each WiW training enables women to know the love of Christ in personal, practical and biblical ways as they read about other women in the Bible. Jesus told the woman at the well, “The water that I shall give you shall become in you, a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:14b

Yes! Together we will see the results as women are also transformed by the Living

“She is clothed with strength and dignity…”
Proverbs 31:25

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you…”
Isaiah 66:13

“A legacy of sincere faith…”
2 Timothy 1:5
