A Harvest is coming!

Earlier this year, we reflected on the way God causes our gardens to grow – the natural process of sowing and then reaping – and how lovely and life-giving it is to reap a harvest. The Bible reminds us that there is a season for everything and everything has its season:

“… a time to plant and a time to harvest.”

Ecclesiastes 3:2b

Here in North America, September is the first month of the harvest season, and that means a beautiful array and display of God’s gorgeous, vibrant palette of colors across the nation. I love this reminder of the rhythm of sowing, reaping, and harvesting, God’s divine design.

In much the same way, Women in the Window International seeks to follow the God-given rhythms of sowing and reaping. We sow the Word of God and practical Life-changing principles and teaching into the lives of women leaders in some of the most difficult and dangerous places to be a woman, and certainly to be a Christian woman. And the result?

Just listen to this testimony from one of our ministry partner leaders sharing her heart:

“In North Africa, walking as a Christian woman is a path often marked by isolation, social pressures, and deep vulnerabilities. What motivates us to partner with you is seeing the love of Christ in action, fulfilling the call to “walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us” (Ephesians 5:2).

This partnership replaces the heavy burden of poverty with a life filled with dignity and divine purpose. In our region, a partnership like this is a true answer to our prayers. The body of Christ here is small and resources are limited, making traditional support networks hard to find. Knowing that we are not standing alone but are carried by the faithful WiW family, brings immense comfort to our sisters. This partnership is a bridge of love that strengthens our faith, reminds us that we belong to the global family of God, and grants us the courage to keep shining His light in the midst of every challenge.”

These same women were recently interrogated by the police, taken into custody, their phones confiscated – why? Because they choose to follow our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ.

The harvest of righteousness described in James 3:18, is precisely what YOU are accomplishing as you partner with Women in the Window International with your words, actions, and financial offerings. We are incredibly and wholeheartedly grateful for YOU!

Sowing, reaping and rejoicing with you,

P. S. Would you like to meet this incredible woman leader from North Africa? You can! She is one of our speakers at this year’s WiW event: Fruitful, Fashionable and Flourishing
