Who is your King?

Recently, some friends and I were talking about the many nations that came under the rule of the United Kingdom—Great Britain—during the last century. I was surprised to learn that Egypt, too, was once considered part of the British Empire.

Human empires are inherently unequal: one side holds most, if not all, of the power, while those under its control often have little authority, even over their own lives.

The Kingdom of God is different. When we surrender our lives to Him and come under His authority, what seems like loss becomes gain. In Matthew 6:33, He tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to us.

And this, dear, is precisely why our 5th and final core value is that we are Kingdom Builders. Yes, every aspect of our partnership and trainings include this value as one of our key objectives. It is actually included in every training we provide:

Objectives:

1. To equip women to train other women in their communities with any/all of the 5 capacities of the WiW curriculum that is biblically sound and culturally correct in your ministry sphere.

2. To empower women with the narrative inductive Bible study method to enable them to see their value in God’s Kingdom through God’s word.

3. As a result of this training and our partnership to equip and empower your women to replace poverty and injustice with dignity and purpose in Christ among women and girls in your region.

It is always eye-opening and heartwarming to see women come alive as they realize their significance in God’s Story. The Bible tells the whole truth, featuring more than 100 women’s stories—some difficult, all purposeful. Each one teaches us how to live, what to avoid, what to embrace, and that our lives matter to God and His Kingdom. As we understand and embrace this reality, we become Kingdom builders—something we see hundreds of times each year through Women in the Window International trainings and mission outreach!

Thank you for your support that enables WiW to reflect His purposes and build His Kingdom – to mark history as we fulfill our mission on earth, and to impact eternity as many come to know and love Christ!
