Moses, Joshua, David, Solomon, Job, Deborah, Hannah . . . Scripture is filled with people who understood the importance of having a soul that rested in the Lord, focused on Him, and wholeheartedly worshipped Him.
At Women in the Window International, we believe the same is true for us today. The women we serve alongside in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East face extraordinary challenges, yet they continue to pursue Christ with courage, faith, and perseverance.
And just like them, we all need people who will pray with us, encourage us, and remind us that we are not walking alone.
That is the heart of our Soul Supporter community.
Our Soul Supporters are more than monthly givers. They are people who have chosen to stand alongside the women we serve through their prayers, generosity, encouragement, and commitment to the work God is doing around the world.
This week, we’re excited to introduce you to one of our Soul Supporters, Patricia. We asked her a few questions about her connection to Women in the Window, what inspired her to become a Soul Supporter, and what this community means to her. We hope her story encourages you and gives you a glimpse into the heart behind the people who faithfully stand with this ministry.
If I believe in something strongly, and I do believe in the mission of WiW, I can’t sit back and watch. I believe the Holy Spirit leads us to the missions where God wants us. I believe God expects me to be involved how ever I can be.
My mission is encouraging women, whether if they are in the 10/40 window or next door. And I have nothing without the Lord, so I’m not to hang onto what he has entrusted to me.
Try it! Short term if you’re not sure. Whatever you give to the Lord is never lost. It’s a blessing to see first hand leaders being excited in their mission in their country – and to see the results of the work of WiW!
We are so grateful for Patricia and for every Soul Supporter who chooses to stand with Women in the Window. Each prayer, gift, word of encouragement, and act of faith helps create a community where women are reminded that they are seen, valued, and never alone.
