For generations, the burden of water collection has fallen solely on women. These women walk miles under the harsh sun, risking their safety and sacrificing their health to carry heavy pots of contaminated water back to their families. Spiritually, these communities are often “unreached,” with little to no access to the Word of God.
TODAY all that has changed!
TODAY, a church in the greater Atlanta area, Calvary Chapel Gwinnett, has fully funded our WiW Bangladesh Deep Tubewell project! And from TODAY every drop of water that is drawn from this well, will bring life to their community – both physical and spiritual life. In the Gospel of John, chapter 4, Jesus told the woman at the well, what He came to offer:
“The water that I shall give you shall become in you, a well of water springing up to eternal life.”
John 4:14b
Soon, this woman was sharing the Good News with everyone who would listen. Before long, her story will be multiplied in this Bangladeshi community as nearby families receive the free gift of clean water and the Word of God which brings living water to their souls.
